At LangReach, you can expect our in-house localization engineers to utilize the most advanced tools when working on your website, software, mobile application or interface programming. We use Content Management Systems (CMS) and other source code management systems, machine translation engines, and more to safely extract your content prior to it being translated.
LangReach will provide assistance in creating plug-ins and scripts for extract/transform/load (ETL) operations, pre- and post-processing, and generating other methods to transfer and keep your original content safe while moving between the various separated systems.
How Localization Engineering Works
Our localization engineers work closely with our operations and project managers on project localization planning.
Your content will go through two main phases for proper localization:
1- The Pre-Processing Phase
- Localization analysis: Our localization engineers analyze the received files, along with any instructions and any other pertinent information needed for the project planning. From there, the engineers will determine which tools are necessary and more suitable to use, and they may discuss options with the operations and project managers.
- Translation Kit Preparation: The engineer will extract the content that needs to be translated and prepare the Translation Environment. They will ensure that only the content, not the coding, is sent on to the linguists, who will focus on the content. To aid in this process, the engineers will provide clear tags and instructions to the linguists.
2- The Post-Processing Phase
- Our localization engineers will input the translated and localized content back into the development environment for testing. They will watch for bugs and other issues, fixing any problems until the build is correct and ready for delivery.
- Our localization engineers are familiar with a wide variety of file formats including binary files, structured file formats, graphics and multimedia content (including audio, video and related applications.) In processing your content, our engineers use a wide range of tools and technology to ensure your content is correctly translated and localized.
